Portrait Gallery

As a commissioned artist, it's been my great pleasure to have painted
the portraits of many Thoroughbred champions, Kentucky Derby
winners, as well as the beloved pleasure horse and blue hen
broodmare. They are all beautiful, and worthy of a portrait!

My painting technique emphasizes realism, the accuracy of
conformation, and the soft rendering of form and background. I use the
finest oils on portrait linen, and can stretch any size canvas desired.

Whether it's a realistic, classic pose, a finish line scene, or on the farm,
you'll know it's your horse or the racing great you admire. Along with my
equine portraits, I also paint "studies" of jockeys wearing an owner's
racing silks, pet portraits, and occasionally the bovine. On my Sporting
Art page you'll see charcoals and pastels, and there are paintings
which I've started for my fall show on my Works In Progress page.
